STYLE Sparkling Perry
The third iteration of the mega-popular Saison/Perry hybrid Saison des Poires. The first two versions came out under Cloudwater’s label but this is a direct collab between Oliver’s and After the Harvest – a brewery attached to Hereford Beer House specialising in small-batch mixed fermentation.
La Troisieme Saison des Poires is a blend of pressed perry pears with beer wort, fermented with saison yeast and then barrel aged. The result is dry, crisp, funky and fruity, conditioned to perfection. Tom Oliver has been at the forefront of beer/cider hybrids, having previous form with both Mills Brewing and Burning Sky, and this is another stellar addition to the genre-bending category.
