GRAPE Orion, Phoenix
Aromatic - Zingy - Fresh
A light pet nat made from a 60/40 blend of Orion and Phoenix, grown on a small 1 hectare vineyard in Oxfordshire. This is zingy with lovely soft bubbles, citrus, blossom, green apple and white flower aromas- lovely any given day of the week especially with good company !
Winemaking: Whole bunches were gently pressed over 7 hours, and co-fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel. After a long, slow fermentation, the wine was bottled via gravity with no fining, filtration, or additions of sulphur. Not disgorged, 565 bottles made.
Offbeat Wines began in 2018 as Daniel Ham’s way to express himself while making the wine at Langham Wine Estate in Dorset. From the 2020 harvest Dan and his wife Nicola are making the wines in their own cellar, a converted barn at Botley’s Farm, just outside Salisbury
